For nearly 30 years, Hester Guy has been serving beautiful food to people in the Manawatu region. Hester is one of the region's most well-known food personalities, having built her reputation from years of teaching cooking skills to willing participants in their own homes, to presenting her own TV programme titled Hester Guy Cooks to now writing a weekly food column in the Manawatu Evening Standard newspaper.

Having formally trained in London, she is considered to be an innovator and entrepreneur in her approach to food. HG Catering is often ahead of the trends. For instance more than 15 years ago she played a pivotal role in creating a range of 'totally trimmed lamb' that was readily adopted by the Woolworths supermarket chain. She has years of experience in the commercial food industry and catering business.

As a result of these years, Hester has culminated a huge repertoire of recipes and innovative presentation ideas for any culinary situation. In 2006 Hester purchased the 'Out to Lunch' catering business in Palmerston North. This business has recently been rebranded to better recognise Hester's huge reputation in the food industry and desire to work one-on-one with clients to offer unique menus designed to compliment personal styles. HG Catering offers the region's most modern, innovative and fresh approach to food.
